Rezan Akkurt, Associate | Hannes Snellman

Rezan works mainly within the fields of banking, finance and capital markets, as well as general contract and commercial law.

Antti Alanko, Partner | Hannes Snellman

Antti’s practice focuses on all types of financing transactions with a particular focus on bank lending, acquisition financing, derivative instruments, real estate and project financing, securitisation, and structured financing.

In addition, Antti has strong experience in restructuring assignments and the preparation of security enforcement procedures. Antti has a solid understanding of the market practices, and during his career Antti has advised both local and global clients in several complex and high-profile financing transactions.


Maisa Cedeström, Senior Associate | Hannes Snellman

Maisa advises clients in the field of mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate, commercial, and contract law.

Prior to joining Hannes Snellman, Maisa worked as a lawyer for another law firm where she worked with M&A and dispute cases related to various fields of law, including corporate and contract law, indemnity, housing and real estate, as well as employment law, and she also has experience of criminal and insolvency cases.

During her master’s studies at the University of Helsinki, Maisa spent one academic year at Université Montpellier 1 in France.

Mikael Klang, Partner | Hannes Snellman

Mikael is a part of Hannes Snellman's Private M&A and Private Equity practice in Stockholm and has considerable experience from M&A and private equity in the Nordic region. He regularly advises private equity sponsors and industrial clients on transactions with cross-border elements and is recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leading private equity lawyer in Sweden.

Iikka Moilanen | Verdane

Iikka joined Verdane’s Helsinki office in 2014 from Intera Partners, where he worked as part of the investment team in Helsinki for three years focusing on sourcing, execution and management of investments in Finnish and Scandinavian industrial and service companies. Iikka has prior experience from management consulting at Bain & Company’s Helsinki and Stockholm offices.

Iikka focuses primarily on existing holdings and new investments in companies with a digital angle or business model in the advanced industrial, energy technology and software sectors.

Education: Iikka holds an MSc in Finance from Aalto University School of Business (formerly Helsinki School of Economics).

Fredrik Olsson, Managing Partner | Hannes Snellman

Fredrik is the Managing Partner of the Stockholm office.

Fredrik focuses on financing transactions and restructurings. He has vast experience of a wide range of finance related work, such as LBO’s, real estate financings, corporate lending and asset finance.

Erik Pettersson | MCF Corporate Finance

Erik Pettersson holds a master’s degree in business and economics from Lund University. He has spent 10 years working within M&A and investment banking, and before joining MCF in 2017, Erik worked at Nordea and its corporate advisory for six years. At MCF, Erik heads the technology team and spends most of his time working with software companies and SaaS companies in particular.


Riikka Rannikko, Managing Partner | Hannes Snellman

Riikka is the managing partner of Hannes Snellman’s office in Helsinki. She regularly acts for both listed and non-listed companies on a wide range of private and public M&A transactions and advises clients on corporate, governance, securities market, and compliance matters.

Riikka has been a member of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office’s Audit Board since 2019. In 2015, Riikka chaired a working group set by the Finnish Securities Market Association for the purpose of reviewing and revising the Finnish Corporate Governance Code.


Sarita Schröder, Managing Associate | Hannes Snellman

Sarita specialises in intellectual property, marketing and consumer law, with a particular focus on litigation and other contentious matters in these fields. She has represented clients in a number of notable disputes involving claims of trademark, patent, and copyright infringement, as well as false and misleading advertising and other forms of unfair competition.

In addition to handling contentious matters, Sarita provides clients with strategic legal advice in relation to brand protection, as well as the planning and execution of product launches and marketing campaigns. Moreover, she advises clients in various IP-related contractual matters.


Jessica Tressfeldt, Associate | Hannes Snellman

Jessica is part of Hannes Snellman’s cross-border IP & Technology practice. Her practice focuses on e-commerce, consumer protection, marketing, gambling, data, and privacy. In addition, she advises on IT, outsourcing, media, telecommunications, and intellectual property law. She regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements within her fields of expertise. Jessica also advises clients on M&A in the field of IP & technology.Snellman’s board of directors.


Emilia Uusitalo | Sanoma

Emilia Uusitalo is currently working as a senior legal counsel at Sanoma, one of the leading learning and media companies in Finland. Emilia is responsible for Sanoma Media Finland’s legal affairs. Prior to working at Sanoma, she worked as an associate and senior associate in Hannes Snellman’s IP & Technology Team.

Emilia graduated from the University of Helsinki in 2015. 


Janne Veneranta, Managing Associate | Hannes Snellman

Janne advises clients on all types of financing transactions with particular focus on bank lending, real estate, acquisition and project financing as well as on questions relating to general corporate, contract and commercial law.


Olli-Pekka Veranen, Specialist Partner | Hannes Snellman

Olli-Pekka advises clients in the field of M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions. He also advises financial investors in various types of capital investments and managers in fund formation on a continuous basis. Olli-Pekka has extensive experience in advising both international and domestic clients in complex domestic and cross-border private and public M&A transactions, corporate compliance and significant Finnish PPP projects. Olli-Pekka also offers clients general corporate, commercial and contract law advice.

Olli-Pekka has studied commercial law and economics at the University of California, Berkeley and worked as a visiting lawyer at the Private Equity Team of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, London in 2013.


Elisabeth Vestin, Partner | Hannes Snellman

Elisabeth heads our Intellectual Property & Technology practice at the Stockholm office. Her fields of expertise include IT, (out)sourcing, technology, telecommunication, data protection, IP, marketing, consumer, retail, fashion, e-commerce, and franchising, distribution, sports, media and music and entertainment law, as well as general commercial law.  Innovation, technology, trade secrets, data, e-commerce, trademarks and other intellectual property rights are often central to the businesses that Elisabeth advises.

Her practice includes drafting, interpreting, negotiating and disputing commercial agreements. She also advises on M&A in the IP & TMT field.

Because of her vast experience of working with franchise chains and other chain companies, Elisabeth has become a board member of the Swedish Franchise Association. 

In addition, Elisabeth has worked with corporate sustainability, bribery, anti-corruption and compliance matters for over a decade. She regularly conducts presentations and training in these areas.


Johanna Wärnberg, Specialist Partner | Hannes Snellman

Johanna specialises in private M&A and private equity and has broad experience from advising Nordic and international private equity and industrial clients in acquisitions, sales, restructurings, carve-outs, and joint ventures. Johanna has advised clients in various complex transactions in both large and mid cap segments, and she has also provided advice on several transactions relating to infrastructure, such as wind farm projects. Johanna also has extensive knowledge of cross-border transactions, and she has worked with M&A Practices both in Finland and Sweden.
