Get to Know Us | Albert Danielsson, Senior Associate, Restructuring & Finance, Stockholm

17 December 2018

When did you start working at Hannes Snellman?

After obtaining my law degree from Lund University I was employed as a clerk/junior judge in the Swedish court system and worked at another law firm for several years before joining Hannes Snellman in October 2017.

What is included in a “normal” working day?

As the majority of my work is related to transactions the pace and workload may vary from one day to the other. However, a normal working day will include conference calls with clients and opposing counsel and correspondence with clients and colleagues. It will usually also involve drafting some form of transaction documents and coaching more junior colleagues.

Can you describe your working group?

The Restructuring & Finance group includes around 20 lawyers in both Hannes Snellman offices. In Stockholm, the group consists of two partners and some seven lawyers. We work a lot cross-border mainly with our Finnish colleagues and with other foreign law firms and also work closely with our M&A team. For a particular transaction, we work in smaller teams of people ranging from just two people for small matters to five or six of us, including everyone from partners to assistants.

What do you like about your job?

I like the flexibility and the fact that all employees are very dedicated to their job, in addition to be very outgoing and friendly. We work on very interesting projects and are always dedicated to delivering a top quality product under time constraints so having a friendly culture is essential. As for any law-firm the work/life balance could be improved during the more hectic periods.

Can you describe the Hannes Snellman culture?

No-nonsense, pragmatic and friendly.
