When did you start working at Hannes Snellman?

During my last semester of law school, I was a thesis trainee at Hannes Snellman, and later that year I started working as an associate in the firm’s public M&A group. I studied law at Lund University, a time during which I tried different areas of law through studies abroad and internships.

What was your first impression of Hannes Snellman?

I had heard that Hannes Snellman was a law firm with a nice culture and work environment and that there were many interesting M&A projects. When I first started working at Hannes Snellman as a thesis trainee, I was almost surprised by how accurate that description was. It is a very large law firm, since we work cross-border with the Finnish office, which enable us to work on large international projects. At the same time, however, it has the feel and culture of a smaller law firm; you feel like you know the people you work with and it is a very down-to-earth atmosphere at the office.

What kind of matters are you working on at the moment?

What I find interesting with public M&A are the many different types of projects you get to work with. On the transaction side, we work with public takeovers, capital raising etc., but we also help companies with, for instance, ongoing corporate governancerelated matters. At this time of the year, we work with annual general meetings, and due to the timing of Covid-19, there are many interesting legal questions arising in connection with this.

How do you like to spend your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy skiing and cross-country cycling, though admittedly I have not kicked off the cycling season quite yet. Apart from that, I enjoy cooking, my specialty being a homemade mushroom ravioli.
