Get to Know Us | Louise Klerbro, Associate, Dispute Resolution, Stockholm

10 June 2019

When did you start working at Hannes Snellman?

I joined Hannes Snellman in September 2018.

Can you describe your working group?

There are about 17 people working in the Dispute Resolution team in Sweden, but we also work a lot with our team in Helsinki. In practice, we work in smaller groups of around two to six people, depending on the matter.

What does a working day look like as an associate in the Dispute Resolution team?

As an associate lawyer in our team, you are involved in varying tasks related to our business area from the get-go. Typical tasks include drawing up prospectuses for the issuance of securities or debt instruments, preparing offer documents in relation to public takeovers of listed companies, or advising clients in relation to various regulatory matters, such as national and EU regulation pertaining to the issuance and trade of securities and specific stock exchange requirements. In addition, as we are a relatively small team, you get the opportunity to interact with clients directly early on.

What do you like the most about working in the Dispute Resolution team?

Even though it probably is one of the biggest clichés, I have to say that one of the best things about working in our team is the variety of tasks that our team handles. This makes working fun and interesting, as you seldom get stuck with similar tasks for a longer period of time, especially since our business area is heavily regulated and therefore new regulatory issues are constantly looming around the corner. We also have a great team spirit in the team with lots of banter, and everyone is very helpful towards each other. Another special thing about working in our team is that our clients are often listed companies, so you may hear or read about our clients and their matters in the media.

Can you describe the Hannes Snellman culture?

Our culture is friendly, encouraging, and inspiring.
