We are delighted to announce that Erkko Korhonen, Olli-Pekka Veranen, and Carolina Wahlby have been appointed as specialist partners as of 1 October 2019.

Erkko Korhonen advises clients in various technology and ICT projects, ICT system deliveries as well as intellectual property (IP) and technology licensing arrangements. He also advises clients on issues relating to data protection & privacy, e-commerce, telecommunications, media, and marketing & consumer laws and practices. In addition, Erkko has been involved in several IP/ICT-driven M&A transactions and otherwise co-operated with our M&A lawyers in transactions with respect to IP and ICT matters. Erkko has been recognised in various legal rankings, such as Chambers Europe, TMT in 2018 and 2019.

Olli-Pekka Veranen advises clients in the field of M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions. He also advises financial investors in various types of capital investments and managers in fund formation on a continuous basis. He has extensive experience in advising both international and domestic clients in complex domestic and cross-border private and public M&A transactions, corporate compliance, and infra projects. Olli-Pekka has been recognised as a rising star and recommended lawyer on the basis of client recommendations in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Europe, IFLR1000, and Legal 500.

Carolina Wahlby is a widely experienced finance lawyer who advises clients on all types of financing transactions with a particular focus on bank lending, acquisition financing, bond issuances, and the financing of public offers. She regularly advises companies in financial difficulties and she also advises lenders and other stakeholders in restructurings and other insolvency situations. Carolina has been ranked as a "Next Generation Lawyer" within Banking & Finance in the 2018 and 2019 editions of Legal 500.
