David Ackebo Becomes Partner at Hannes Snellman

26 April 2018

David Ackebo, expert within international and domestic arbitration and litigation, is promoted to partner at Hannes Snellman.

David Ackebo joined Hannes Snellman in September 2016 as a specialist partner in the Dispute Resolution group in Stockholm. He previously worked at the law firm Mannheimer Swartling for almost ten years, which also included a parental leave, court service at the Stockholm District Court, and a secondment at Herbert Smith Freehills in Paris.

David Ackebo’s expertise is within international and domestic arbitration and litigation, and his broad experience includes, among other things, IT, telecom, construction, and M&A related disputes, as well as investment treaty disputes. In addition, David Ackebo has significant experience in compliance work, including matters and investigations related to sanctions and anti-corruption.

– I am delighted to be promoted to partner. In my view, the firm’s top-tier presence in Stockholm and Helsinki, combined with the true “one firm” set-up and everyday approach, puts us in a unique position in the Nordic countries, and I am excited to take a more active role in the further development of the firm. Not only do I see a great potential for us to gain additional market shares, but I am also optimistic about the dispute resolution market as such due to an increase in the quantity of commercial disputes and the high activity within M&A, says David Ackebo.

– We are very happy to be able to promote our talents, and we welcome David in his new role. I am enthusiastic about the future and confident that our Dispute Resolution practice will grow significantly over the next years, in particularly in Stockholm, says Paula Röttorp, Managing Partner in our Stockholm office.

David Ackebo was promoted to partner at Hannes Snellman on 1 April 2018.
